Our MissionFriends of Fields is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 1993 to help renovate and maintain the playing fields throughout greater Mill Valley and Marin County.
Friends of Fields assisted the City of Mill Valley in building two baseball fields and a regulation soccer field at what is now ‘Friends Field’. We split the cost of a dedicated maintenance position at Mill Valley Park and Recreation, now a permanent fixture in Mill Valley’s annual budget.
The three founding board members are Rich Robbins, Gary Van Acker and Dennis Fisco. They were joined in 2008 by three new board members: Courtney Benham, Chris Moscone and Scott Halsted. Countless others have made these projects possible, including: Mill Valley’s citizens and the City of Mill Valley, the Mill Valley School District and the College of Marin, as well as Little League, Soccer Club, Softball League, Southern Marin Lacrosse, Mill Valley Flag Football and corporate sponsors.
